There are eight Europa League Play-offs and they will be contested by the eight clubs who finished third in their Champions League group and the eight clubs who finished runners-up in their Europa League group.
When Is The Play-Off Draw?
The Europa League Play-off draw will take place on Monday 18th December in Nyon, Switzerland, with the start time to be announced. The time is expected to take place immediately after the Champions League draw.

When will the Europa League play-off ties be played?
The fixtures will take place across two legs on Thursday 15th and Thursday 22nd February 2024. Matches take place over two legs, with seeded teams at home in the second legs.
Last 16 Draw
Teams that have successfully qualified, including Liverpool FC (Europa League) at the top of their group will proceed straight to the round of 16 in the Europa League. The draw for this round is scheduled for 23rd February 2024. The groups that finished top will now wnjoy the break in European competition. Liverpool FC, Rangers FC, Brighton and West Ham all won their respective groups.
No Away Goals
UEFA have confirmed that there will no ‘away goals’ rule for this season. Teams which are level after 180 minutes will go directly to extra time and then penalties if still level.
As with the other competition, there is no rule on countries from the same country being drawn against each other.
Where is The 2023/2024 Europa League Final?
This season’s Europa League Final 2024 will take place in Dublin, Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in what will be a full capacity crowd.
